Arcadia Quest board game raises $70,000 in under an hour on Kickstarter

Adventure board game Arcadia Quest has managed to raise $70,000 in under an hour on Kickstarter.

The game smashed its $50,000 goal thanks to the speedy enthusiasm of around 800 supporters, reports CNET Australia.

At the time of writing, the game has raised a mammoth $145,064 thanks to 1,532 backers.

Arcadia Quest, from miniatures website CoolMiniOrNot, sees players lead guilds of heroes on a quest to dethrone the vampire lord and reclaim the mighty Arcadia for their own.

The game is suitable for two to four players, with each player controlling a guild of three heroes in an adventure to become the richest guild in the land.

A $100 pledge gets backers the game, an exclusive miniature and the Nameless Campaign Box.

The firm has been adding incentives as the campiagn continued to raise funds, and the next milestone will be the additon of the Koba miniature if the project reaches $150,000.
