With this year's ToyNews Women of the Year event just 16 days away, industry PR firm Norton & Co has come on board as sponsor of the Marketeer category.

The eagerly awaited networking lunch will take place at Home House, London on Thursday, July 16th.

In addition to the lunch, the event will honour four women, celebrating their outstanding achievements in the UK toy industry over the past year. The awards will be given out for Rising Star, Innovator and Marketeer, as well as Woman of the Year.

Last year's Woman of the Year - Vivid sales director Gerbie Quilter - will also be speaking.

Tony Norton, chairman of Norton Marketing Group, commented: "Our industry has changed so much over recent years. We are no longer the trader-led sales business we used to be and marketing is by far the key driver in securing the future of many manufacturers and retailers, not just in toys.

"I see it as the lifeblood of our future and I am so pleased to be able to sponsor what I believe is the most important category in our industry.

"Innovation, forward thinking and being just that extra bit 'clever' make a big difference with today's savvy children and the winner will have to have all of these in abundance."

A limited number of tickets to the event are still available, but you need to be quick. Simply click on this link to secure your space.
