Magformers is boosting its sales force with the addition of Doug Wares as its new sales agent for Scotland.

After teaming up with the firm during the Toymaster show in Harrogate this year, Wares was able to open several Scottish accounts.

"Magformers is clearly one of the fastest-growing toy brands in the UK and I'm delighted to be joining the business to help it establish a foothold in Scotland,” said Wares.

“It's a fantastic product with a very strong marketing and promotional campaign in place to support retailers and I believe it has enormous potential, which recent feedback from the Toymaster show is already demonstrating."

Since embarking on his career in the toy industry in 1988, Wares has worked with various other brands including Humbrol, Matchbox/Universal Toys and Bandai.

David Kelly, MD of Magformers, added: “We know there is great scope for Magformers to develop in Scotland and having Doug on board, with his contacts and experience within the industry, is great news for us.

“Doug is one of the most well-respected agents in the toy industry and he is a great addition to our sales team.”
