Gelli Baff is an awarding winning product that had recently launched in the USA at NY Toy Fair and is also available in the UK and Australia.

The firm is now looking for an experienced international development manager to further its current distribution worldwide. The In Thing has the worldwide distribution rights for the product.

The new opportunity will focus on the international sales and marketing of the brand, predominantly into toy channels, but also to a lesser degree into educational channels.

Reporting directly to the MD, the position requires commercial acumen and the ability to identify new business opportunities. The role will involve sales, marketing and operations of the Gelli Baff brand worldwide.

The successful candidate will be expected to research and identify international sales opportunities for the brand; organise the participation in the international sales activity at key international sales events (may require some European and Worldwide travel) and to provide organisational and control support to the MD, ensuring the efficiency of the international sales function of Gelli Baff.

The new recruit will be responsible for researching and maintaining data on worldwide markets and identifying potential partners and identifying sales leads within specific channels in international markets.

Part of the role will also be to research international direct to retail opportunities and identify leads and the co-ordination of relevant product material such as product information, marketing information, price lists and samples.

The successful candidate will need to provide an after sales service – liasing with logistics and marketing and ensuring samples are ready on time. He/she will also be responsible for the preparation of sales quotes and will be the pivotal point of contact between the company and its international partners for Gelli Baff.

The rolled will require the candidate to oversee account management once new partners are established and to assist the account manager with appointed international partners to ensure each market has clear business and marketing plans.

This role could suit someone with international sales administration experience or brand/product management. Language skills would clearly be an advantage although not critical.

The ideal applicant will enjoy ferreting out leads and identifying gaps in the market which the brand could move into. Excellent verbal and written skills are also required.

The position is ideally full-time, Mon-Fri 9.00am to 5.30pm. Preferably will be office based in Accrington, but the firm may consider working from home for the right candidate.

A competitive basic salary plus uncapped commission structure is available.
