After Leslie Scott founded Oxford Games Ltd back in 1991, Scott’s daughter Frederica Scott Vollrath, is now set to take the reigns.
Following her appointment, Scott Vollrath aims to grow the business and bring the range of games to a wider audience.
Scott Vollrath has already spent three years at the games firm, where she has worked on new product development for 2018.
During her new role, she will put a key focus on two games for 2017, including Ex Libris and Flummoxed.
“We have a very special, collection of games in our range, designed to cater beyond the mainstream. With the resurgence in popularity of board games – and indeed games and puzzles being the fastest growing category in the toy sector – I’m confident the time is absolutely right to put them in the spotlight and build on their popularity even further with new audiences,” said Scott Vollrath.
“There’s a very definite gap on the board game shelf for titles like ours and I’m determined to ensure we showcase our games in the right way, to the right people, at the right time.”
Following Vollrath’s appointment, Playtime PR has been hired to manage UK trade and consumer PR on an ongoing basis.
