Global toy manufacturer, King Bee Limited has appointed the former Toys R Us China exec Kirsten Ytterbo as its senior vice president.

The move arrives at ‘an excited for King Bee’ who continues to evolve with the fast pace of China’s taste and preferences and further develops its growing children’s business in Mainland China and the Greater Asia regions.

“King Bee is delighted to welcome Kirsten into the organisation as she brings a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, manufacturing and retail into this new role,” said John Tong, MD at King Bee Limited.

Ytterbo has spent the last 10 years in Asia with a focus in Mainland China companies such as Tesco and as Toys R Us China as divisional merchandising manager.

“I am excited to work for a toy company such as King Bee that is pioneering new brands for the Asia toy and licensing markets,” said Ytterbo.

“I can’t wait to work together with the fantastic team and partners to continue expanding the business.”

In 2017, King Bee expanded its master toy agreements to include Oddbods, Miffy and Baby Riki for the Mainland China market.
