Young girls are breaking traditional stereotypes, finds Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network has carried out a nationwide survey with young girls to mark the arrival of the new The Powerpuff Girls series.

According to the company, the results revealed that girls are breaking traditional stereotypes and are enjoying video games and sport activities.

The survey of seven to 15 year-olds found that 84 per cent of girls loved sport, 10 per cent practiced martial arts and 59 per cent played video games.
