Wow Stuff wins Ernst & Young innovation award

Richard North collects the honour at an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards ceremony.

Wow Stuff has won a special innovation award at the midlands and North regional finals of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year competition.

MD Richard North picked up the award on behalf of the company. The Ernst & Young judging panel said that North is “a true entrepreneur. Richard bought the business out of administration. He research and development team are all scientists and create great toys. He understood the challenges ahead and established a global network with some of the biggest toy retailers in the world. A true entrepreneur.”

North said: “I’m over the moon to be winning such an award. This is exactly what we try to achieve as a business. Innovation is at the top of our business strategy that we’ve nicknamed ‘The Wow Stuff way’, so this makes me proud of the amazing team we have, who are behind all the innovative toys that we release year-on-year.”

Wow Stuff has also won a UK National Business Award and HSBC’s Business Thinking award.

The company recently secured a £4.8 million investment from the business growth fund.
