Wow Stuff names 'Greatest Toy in the Universe' as Attacknids

10,000 name suggestions made for the R/C battle bot; Combat Creatures brand also revealed.

Wow Stuff has found a name for the battle bot it first revealed in February. The company originally dubbed it 'The Greatest Toy in the Universe' and launched a competition to find a name for the spider-like R/C toy.

The winning name is Attacknids, which was the winner from over 10,000 suggestions.

Attacknids was suggested 23 times. The first to come up with it was Aaron Carr, who said: “When I saw the video for these toys I was amazed. This is the toy I always dreamed about when growing up.”

The company has also revealed a new brand called Combat Creatures, hinting there will be similar toys to come. Attacknids will be the first toy launched under the new label and Wow Stuff has launched Facebook at Twitter pages for the brand.

The R/C robot is highly customisable and features interchangeable weapons and body armour. Wow Stuff believes it could also be the world's most controllable robot due to its AI head-controller. Check out the toy's features in the teaser video below.
