The new range will be based on the adventures of the 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, who makes his debut this weekend (Saturday April 3rd) and will include replica items from the upcoming series along with enemies from past episodes.

The range is aimed at young adults and will include desktop accessories and stress toys. The line will be supported by Wow Stuff's in-store promotional video screens.

BBC Worldwide has also developed new artwork for the packaging of merchandise, using new fonts and colours to reinvigorate product lines.

Hitting shelves for spring/summer, the firm believes that the new packaging will help generate more attention for fresh product lines from existing and new licensees.

Character Options will be continuing its role as master toy licensee. The firm will launch initial products this spring/summer, followed by a wider range of lines in production for autumn/winter.
