Worlds Apart has underlined its ambitious growth plans by awarding Wincanton the contract to distribute its product range.

The move will allow Worlds Apart to concentrate on expanding its business, while Wincanton controls its warehousing and UK logistics solutions.

The five-year partnership sees Wincanton overseeing both the warehousing and UK transport operations for Worlds Apart. This includes storage of some 3,300 pallets, throughput of 18,000 pallets and case picking of around 119,000 a year.

Wincanton will also take responsibility for around 20,000 orders annually, delivering to 1,350 locations.

"As we strive forward with our ambitious growth plans and continue to launch new and exciting products onto the market, it is imperative that we have the necessary infrastructure to deliver on these plans," explained Craig Lawton, finance director at Worlds Apart.
