Work already underway on The LEGO Movie sequel

Warner Bros gets screenwriters on board

It may not land in UK cinemas until February 14th but work is already underway on a sequel to The LEGO Movie.

The Wrap reports that Warner Bros is already begun work on a sequel, according to two individuals with knowledge of the studio’s plans.

Jared Stern, screenwriter of The Internship and Mr. Popper’s Penguins, is partnering with Girl Most Likely's Michelle Morgan on the script.

The LEGO Movie, which opens in the US on Friday and a week later in the UK, has already recieved postive reviews.

The Telegraph's Robbie Collin stated: 'Never before have I felt less like a film was selling me a product, and then left the cinema more desperate to fill my house with the product it wasn’t selling' while Total Film said 'The LEGO Movie is far better than a toy tie-in movie has any right to be.'
