Woolly and Tig orders surpass "bullish" forecast, says Golden Bear

Retailers pre-selling first two products reporting "high demand".

Golden Bear has reported 'overwhelming' demand for its Woolly and Tig toy line, with pre-sales way above where the firm originally expected them to be.

The first two products - including the Woolly soft toy - went on pre-sale in several retailers a few weeks ago, with orders already surpassing what was a "bullish" opening forecast, according to Golden Bear's general manager, Barry Hughes.

"Our own website has also seen record breaking traffic and a recent newsletter to the database talking of the launch resulted in a 71 per cent response against an industry standard of just 18 per cent," Hughes commented.

"From the very outset we knew that this property was going to be special and had already brought our development forward by two months. The first shipment is now due to land in just a few days and has already been assigned to retailers.

"Future shipments are on their way, but owing to the demand, have been placed on allocation only."
