Warner Bros names director for The LEGO Movie sequel
Warner Bros has named Chris McKay as the director for the sequel to The LEGO Movie.
McKay was animation co-director on the first film, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller on directing duties.
The film’s previous directors will now take on a producing role for the sequel, while Michelle Morgan and Jared Stern are reportedly writing a treatment for the next installment, reports Deadline.
While details are still being finalised, rumours persist that the studio is also contemplating a spin-off film, focusing on LEGO Ninjago.
The LEGO Movie only opened last month, and has already brought in a worldwide gross of $361 million.
