Vtech's new smart watch for kids has taken home an esteemed KAPi Award from the Las Vegas award show.

The Kidizoom Smart Watch DX2 was selected from more than 500 children’s technology products, by an independent jury of industry and editorial experts who looked for products that raised the bar for innovation and design excellence.   

The product was honoured at The Consumer Electronics Show 2018, praised for its originality as one of the first wearable tech products aimed specifically at youngsters.

Being launched in the UK at London Toy Fair, the watch is the successor of the incredibly popular original Smart Watch DX. Featuring a new sleek and stylish design, the DX2 has a new second camera located on the face of the watch. This, paired with the existing side camera, allows the wearer to capture everything from action videos to selfies, which can then be customised with frames and effects.

The DX2 comes packed with innovative features including multiple interactive games, a motion sensor and AR capabilities. The built-in Time Master app boasts an educational aspect, assisting kids to learn to tell the time in a fun and original format.
