VTech unveils Giggle initiative

Parents given the chance to have their child's giggle used as a sound effect on new toy.

VTech has launched a special Facebook competition - giving parents the chance to get their child's giggle featured as a sound effect in a new toy.

Fans of the firm's Facebook page are being encouraged to upload videos of their baby giggling to win the chance to have their baby's giggle used as a sound effect on a new VTech Baby toy.

The winner will also receive a hamper full of VTech toys worth £1,000.

The competition is part of a campaign to support the range of VTech Baby toys and will be supported by a consumer PR campaign, inclusion in press ads and a mummy blogger outreach programme to drive entries and awareness.

"We have launched the Giggle competition to reward our customers and Facebook fans," said Clive Richardson, marketing director at VTech. "We feel giving them the opportunity to input in our NPD is a fun and unique way to interact with our audience and we look forward to receiving lots of entries."
