The Digi-Fun workshops are designed for kids aged four to nine and will take place every Saturday throughout the summer holidays at 2pm from July 23rd to August 27th.
The sessions are free and last one hour and will give kids the opportunity to explore, invent and create with the latest VTech products.
The workshops will provide kids with previews of products like InnoTab, VTech’s Tablet style learning pad, and the Kidizoom range of digital cameras and videocams.
Kids will learn how to take pictures, film and edit footage as they tour around the Museum to find a range of toys.
VTech will promote the activity with competitions in national magazines such as Fabulous and Hello and through PR targeting mummy bloggers, listings pages and online websites.
Carolyn Chinn, learning manager, V&A Museum of Childhood, commented: "We are delighted to be working with VTech on this series of workshops. The Digi-Fun sessions are completely different to anything we have done before.
"Children are growing up in an increasingly digital world and the sessions will help them embrace this and, most importantly, have fun with the latest gadgets in a creative and engaging setting. Demand to sign up has been strong, the first workshop session filled up soon after it was opened to the public."
