Gerbie Quilter - sales director of Vivid's toy division and the recipient of last year's ToyNews Woman of the Year accolade - will be speaking at this month's event.

Quilter (pictured) will be discussing her career in the toy business - from starting at Ideal Toys over 20 years ago as sales administrator and through the journey to joining Vivid in 2003.

She will also be talking about the female role models she has in the business, and how they have contributed to her success and still drive her on today.

"In this year's Top 100 there are some real stand out nominations; there are many individuals who have played a key role in shaping the industry that we love," Quilter told ToyNews. "I believe it is harder for women to sometimes get the top jobs and fulfil all career aspirations, as it's not easy to juggle home/work commitments. You need a good support system at home to be able to fulfil your career goals.

"For me, I believe this event recognises this and helps in celebrating the amazing women in our industry across all categories. It is important to keep these events going."

ToyNews Women of the Year 2015 takes place on Thursday, July 16th at Home House, London.
