Vivid is anticipating its Tracy Island play-set to top the boys’ action toy list this Christmas following ‘phenomenal pre-sales’ of its Thunderbirds Are Go toy line.

Spurred on by strong initial sales reads across its range and positive consumer reviews for the Tracey Island play-set in its first week of launch, the firm is already working to make sure growing consumer demand is met.

15 years since after the last Tracy Island hysteria, Vivid has stated that it is “overwhelmed” by the response to the launch of its Thunderbirds Are Go toys.

“Demand across all lines is high and when you have something hot, it’s always a challenge to satisfy demand,” said Mary wood, marketing director at Vivid.

“However, seeing strong success from early sales really gives us confidence for the future and as a result we are running at full capacity to ensure that every Thunderbirds fan has the opportunity to get Thunderbirds Are Go toys this year.”

A full programme of marketing and PR activity has already been planned around the toy range, including the interactive Tracy Island taking a starrng role in the hamley’s ToyTestersTV Tour kicking off across Hamleys stores this week.

Vivid is also looking to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the cult TV series from September with a host of activities and celebrity tie-ins planned.

The firm is also working towards 2016 with plans to extend the range by introducing a Kayo action figure, FAB1 and additional action vehicles.
