Vivid celebrating early outdoor sales

Wubble Bubble Ball and Phlat Ball see boost after first week of advertising.

Vivid is celebrating after its latest outdoor toys - Wubble Bubble Ball and Phlat Ball - saw a huge boost in sales following their first week of advertising.

According to the firm, both are now well on their way to being a sell out for the summer season.

Wubble - which launched in January - looks like a bubble but plays like a ball, while Phlat Ball is a transforming disc that pops into a ball when thrown.

"We're absolutely thrilled with early success that retailers are experiencing on both of these brands," said Kira Mutimer, assistant brand manager at Vivid. "Despite the weather being characteristically British, it hasn't hampered consumers going out and purchasing outdoor toys.

"Both of these brands have proven to be extremely reactive to TV and have given us a great gauge of things to come."

Further TV bursts are scheduled throughout the summer season.
