VTech has announced the InnoTab 2 Baby, another variation on its InnoTab 2 kids learning tablet.

Last month the InnoTab 2S, a version of the tablet upgraded specs, was revealed.

InnoTab 2 Baby is suitable for children aged over 12 months and has been designed to grow with children up to the age of nine. It is currently on sale exclusively at US retailer Walmart for $89.

The device includes a green rubber gel skin for protection and comes with two baby-friendly styluses and 16 baby and infant appropriate apps – including Baby Sign Language, which helps develop a baby’s language skills with 100 popular signs.

Like other InnoTab 2 models, it also comes with a rotatable camera.

"Parents will appreciate the chance to save their own tablets from sticky hands, while at the same time provide age-appropriate learning content and entertainment to their child," said William To, president of VTech Electronics North America.

"InnoTab 2 Baby is a great example of an educational toy that will grow with a child and at the same time offer incredible value for astute shoppers.”
