Toys R Us has become the latest big name retailer to join the Christmas clamour with the release of its own top toy picks for this festive season.

Titled the Holiday Hot toy List, the rundown highlights some of the leading industry trends including coding toys, drones, collectables and movie tie-ins.

An initial list of 40 products has been whittled down to a breakdown of the top 15 toys the retail giants predicts to be this year’s hottest sellers, including six Toys R Us exclusives.

The list follows the recent unveiling of the major US wholesaler, Walmart’s own top picks for this festive period and arrives in the year that the US toy industry sees its strong sales, spurred on by the likes of Star Wars and Disney’s Frozen.
