US Toy Fair 2016: Bandai to launch new action doll line for girls

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & cat Noir will hit TV screens across the globe this year and will supported by a new line of action dolls and toys from Bandai.

Bandai America is preparing to unveil its toy line for the new animated series Miraculous at this year’s North American International Toy Fair.

As the master toy partner for Zag Heroez’ CGI-animated TV series, Bandai will showcase the line at its booth at the show in New York this February.

The first season of Miraculous premiered on Nickelodeon earlier last year, having already debuted in France and Korea where it achieved high ratings.

Bandai will introduce what it has billed as a ‘robust assortment of toys’ to bring the Miraculouys Ladybug to life, including action dolls for girls, transformational role play, plush pets and fashion dolls all targeted to girls aged four to eight year olds.

The line is set to launch in Autumn this year at mass and specialty retailers around the world.

“Miraculous’ stunning animation appeal immediately attracted us,” said Liz Grampp, senior director of brand management, Bandai America.

“The brand’s inspirational storyline, lead character and top-notch animation aligns perfectly with Bandai’s core competency in content driven character merchandising across action and role play segments.

“We are excited to lead the development of the new action dolls market for girls.”

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir premiered in autumn 2015 across the US on Nickelodeon and will roll out globally over the next three months.
