US: Spin Master named master toy for Teletubbies

DHX Media has commenced its plans on taking Teletubbies to the US with the appointment of six licensees across toys, bedding and more.

Spin Master has been appointed the master toy partner for the much- anticipated US re-launch of the Teletubbies.

Across the US, DHX Media has appointed six new licensees as it begins to ramp up consumer product activity surrounding the pre-school brand.

Accessory Innovations has been named as bags, backpacks and hats partner, SG Company for footwear, Franco Manufacturing for juvenile bedding and Betesh for toddler bedding.

In addition, and ahead of the launch of the new series on Nick Jr in the US next year and Family Jr. in Canada in early January, VTech is extending its current ELA deal into North America, building pon it current deal for the UK, France, Germany, Benelux, Iberia, Australia and New Zealand.

Peter Byrne, EVP of DHX Brands, said: “UK ratings since launch have been very strong, so we are excited to be rolling out our licensing programme in North America in 2016 with such great partners on board.”
