Hasbro has revealed its latest expansion plans for its Kre-o building set lines, confirming a new Dungeons and Dragons set to launch in 2014.

The new range based on the iconic fantasy brand was unveiled at this year's San Diego Comic Convention.

As part of the celebrations, Hasbro offered fans a sneak peek at early Kre-on models and limited edition Kre-o Dungeons and Dragons posters at its booth in San Diego.

The firm also showcased an exclusive range of Kre-o Star Trek, Kre-o Transformers and Kre-o G.I.Joe building sets, scheduled for release next year.

Senior global marketing director for the Kre-o brand at Hasbro, Kim Botd, said: "Since launching the Kre-o brand over two years ago, we've been able to tap into some of Hasbro's most iconic brands and premier pop-culture licenses and bring them to life in a whole new way for kids and fans.

"We are excited to add fantasy inspired sets featuring Dungeons and Dragons, as well as Cityville Invasion to the Kre-o portfolio which also includes Transformers, G.I.Joe and Star Trek."
