UK growth for Playmobil

Company rises eight positions in UK toy market chart year-on-year; hires new staff.

Playmobil is the fastest growing toy firm out of the top 25 UK toy companies. 

It has risen to 16th in the UK toy market chart, up eight positions year-on-year since the end of Q1 2012 (according NPD Q1 2013 figures). 

Changes have also been made to Playmobil's UK team.

Kingsley Li has been promoted to Key Account Manager after 11 years with Playmobil. He will look after customers in the West End of London, and other major key accounts.

Li's former position has been filled by Kim Chenery, who joinsas Territory Manager for the South East and East Anglia. She has worked for Nestle and Schwarzkopf-Henkel, as well as Masterfoods and Gillette accounts.

Keith Frost retired from his role as Field Sales and Key Accounts Manager earlier this year.

Graham Brennan, Commercial Director for Playmobil UK, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Kingsley to his new role and Kim to the Playmobil family.

"Our sales force is poised to continue delivering the highest level of service to our customers and deliver a strong performance this year.” 

The global Playmobil brand has risen eight places in the global toy property rankings to 20th, since this time last year. Sales were up 54 per cent in value and 61 per cent in volume.
