Turner has brought back Captain Planet, signing up with the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) to create the UK’s first ever range of branded apparel.

The vintage-look, ethical range is available to trade now for summer 2011 in the UK and Irish markets.
Captain Planet premiered in September 1990 with the goal to educate and empower audiences to be environmental crusaders and help save the planet by reinforcing the theme: "The Power is Yours!"

Original voice artists included Hollywood A-listers such as Tom Cruise (original voice of Captain Planet), Meg Ryan, Whoopi Goldberg, Martin Sheen, Sting, Tim Curry and Jeff Goldblum.

"Captain Planet is one of the most iconic cartoon superheroes," says Steve Trent, EJF executive director. "We’re proud to be spreading his message to save the planet by using products made to the highest environmental and social standards, the sales of which will directly support our work tackling the root cause of environmental destruction and protecting both people and planet”.

Graham Saltmarsh, UK Licensing Director, Turner CN Enterprises comments, "Consumers have the power to make a difference by asking retailers and manufacturers to provide sustainable solutions. Captain Planet is the perfect ambassador for this.”
