Since launching in December over 1.45 million ‘Trashies’ have been sold.

In June sales increased 44 per cent in units and 15 per cent in value, according to NPD. Trash Pack is now the number three property in NPD’s ‘other toy’ category, with the 2 Trashies in a Bin and 5 Pack Blister being the most popular products.

“Demand for The Trash Pack products is continually high,” said Catherine Scott, product manager.

“Flair is working hard to fulfil consumer demand and keep retailers in stock, ensuring neither party is disappointed. The collectability and price points of the range helped to establish the brand’s popularity. Awareness will be increased further throughout the year with campaigns in the boys press, heavyweight TV advertising and high profile month-long activity on one of the UK’s leading kids’ social platforms, Bin Weevils, in October.”

Speaking about the latest Trash Pack wave, Scott said: “We are delighted with the continuing success of The Trash Pack and are thrilled that the refreshed packaging and new character additions of Series 2 have proved just as popular with consumers. With more exciting product concepts coming into the range for 2013 we are confident that the brand will continue to grow for some time yet.”

Lisle International has a licensing programme in place for Trash Pack with the first merchandise set to arrive this September.
