The ToyNews editorial department has been bolstered with the appointment of Lisa Carter as managing editor.

Carter (nee Foster) was the launch editor of ToyNews when publisher Intent Media acquired the title ten years ago. She rejoins the team as ToyNews looks to further grow its market-leading online position, and with a number of exciting developments in the pipeline for the print edition.

She will work alongside the existing team of Samantha Loveday (editor), Katie Roberts (deputy editor), Lewis Tyer (staff writer) and Emily Briggs (sales manager).

"Lisa is one of the most senior members of our editorial team here at Intent Media, overseeing many of the magazine brands we publish from our Hertford office, and will be bringing her experience and editorial innovations to ToyNews," said Stuart Dinsey, publisher and Intent Media managing director.

"We're looking forward to introducing some exciting new developments to both ToyNews magazine and ToyNews Online."

Carter added: "Having relaunched ToyNews when we acquired the mag ten years ago, I have a great deal of affection for the title and for the toy industry itself. I'm looking forward to working with Samantha and the team going forward, and hope to meet up with as many members of the trade as possible during the upcoming show season."
