ToyNews signs new NPD deal

Longstanding agreement for regular market research data and analysis continues with new formal partnership.

ToyNews and NPD have further extended their partnership with a new two-year deal.

The agreement means that readers will continue to be provided with regular market research data and analysis, both in print and online at

The deal includes:

* Monthly narrative report on latest market trends and new developments

* Top 10 best selling items in value and units – for the month (by rank)

* Toy market value and unit sales trend for the month

* Average selling price this year, versus last year for the month

* Best item progression rank for the month

"The ToyNews relationship with NPD is longstanding and we're delighted to have tied up a new formal partnership," said Intent Media boss, Stuart Dinsey. "We have a commitment to key partners, such as the ABC, NPD and Good Toy Guide – providing high value content and advertiser comfort.

"This latest two-year NPD deal will provide our print and online readers with market insight, best selling items by value and units, average selling prices, best item progression and much more.

"It has been a fantastic year for ToyNews and there is more to come as we push towards Brand Licensing Europe and Toy Fair."

NPD has had a partnership with leading entertainment and leisure trade publisher Intent Media for ten years. As well as ToyNews and, Intent Media also publishes the leading trade titles for markets such as video games, home computing, musical instruments, cycling, live sound and mobile content.
