More than 1,000 guests were at last night’s Licensing Awards evening, hosted by comedian Chris Addison, to witness which UK retailers, suppliers and licensors were feted with the licensing industry’s top accolades.

Wow Stuff won the award for Best Licensed Toy or Game range for its Wallce and Gromit Cracking Contraptions line, while Inspiration Works won the Best Licensed Written, Listening or Learning Range for its Peppa Pig Electronic Learning Range.

Other winners included Christys which won Best Licensed Dress-up for its Toy Story 3 range and Mothercare, which was best Pre-school Retailer.

Ian Hyder, organiser and director of The Licensing Source Book, commented: "Standing testament to the vibrancy of the licensing sector, The Licensing Awards 2010 really bought every strand of the licensing industry together. It was our dream to make it one of the best awards events in the UK and this year especially everyone really supported us in our aim.
