Toy firms celebrating Licensing Awards nominations

Tomy, Flair, HTI, Vivid and Character Options among those nominated.

Several top name toy firms have been given the nod in the shortlist for this year's Licensing Awards.

Tomy, Flair, HTI, Vivid and Character Options will fight it out in the Best Licensed Toys or Games category, with Flair actually receiving two nominations.

Meanwhile, Rubie's Masquerade is up against Smiffy's, Christy's and VMC in the Best Licensed Dress-up or Partyware category.

Inspirationworks has been nominated in the Best Written, Listening or Learning Range category for its Mike the Knight Alphabet Book and Laptop; Mask-a-rade has a nomination for its One Direction cutouts and masks in the Best Licensed Paper Products or Stationery Range, alongside Learning Resources for its Robinsons Fruit Shoot Smencils; while Worlds Apart is featured in the Best Licensed Home Décor, Tableware or Housewares sector for its Gruffalo furniture set.

The Innovation Award is set to be contested by Underground Toys, Spin Master and Bladez Toys, meanwhile.
