VTech has released first details of what it says is the first ever tablet designed specifically for babies.

The InnoTab 2 Baby features a baby proof design and tailored apps and content. It's aimed at kids over 12 months old and includes five free downloads from the Learning Lodge Naviagtor, encased with a protective safety shell.

The InnoTab 2 Baby includes all the great features of InnoTab 2, but with an interface and apps designed for babies. This includes Noah’s ark e-book, three cute games, 12 built in playtime and soothing songs and an animal fun cartridge.

It's priced at £89.99 and arrives this autumn/winter.

In other VTech news, the Giggle competition which launched on VTech's Facebook page last year, has found a winner.

Parents uploaded clips of their babies giggling, for a chance to win £1,000 worth of VTech toys.

The winner is Alfie, whose giggle will feature in a new VTech toy the VTech Rattle & Roll Racer this year. As well as Alfie’s winning giggle, which can be heard at VTech's Toy Fair stand, the VTech Rattle & Roll Racer will activate with the noise of a babies rattle, play 10 melodies and three sing along songs.

You can visit VTech at Toy Fair at stand 401.
