TOY FAIR DAILY: John Crane wins best stand

Firm recognised for Best Designed Stand at Toy Fair; Street Surfing takes accolade for best shell scheme.

Chairman of the BTHA, Roger Dyson, today awarded John Crane (stand E20) as the Best Designed Stand at Toy Fair 2010.

Epoonymous boss, John Crane, pictured far left receiving the award from Roger Dyson with MD, Jonathan Thorpe and BTHA events manager, Simon Pilling, commented: "We work closely with our stand designer and builder to create the space each year.

"We also previously won an award at the Baby Show, so we are proud of the stand design. I'm delighted to have won this award."

Street Surfing, a Dorset-based company supplying skateboarding products took the award for the Best Use of Shell Scheme/Economy Shell Scheme.

The company is exhibiting in the Greenhouse area of the show and designed the urban style stand using corrugated iron and spray paint graffiti.

Mike Hickling at Street Surfing said: "We'll have to start thinking of how we can improve again next year now. We've set ourselves a high standard."

The firm's MD, Oliver Webb added: "It's great to have won the award, we're really pleased."
