Sorgenfresser Worry Eaters have been voted Toy of the Show by media visiting Toy Fair this week in the events second annual Editors' Choice awards.

More than 300 broadcast, national, local and trade journalists have reported from Toy Fair since it opened on Tuesday January 21st and out of thousands of fantastic new toys on display they chose their top three, with Sorgenfresser taking first place.

"It's fantastic to have won the Editors' Choice award at Toy Fair," said Rachael Wyatt, from distributor Coiledspring Games. "We're very proud of the Sorgenfresser range and it's so heartening to see that Editors also recognised their unique value in helping children overcome fears and worries"

Roger Martin, MD, added: "Toy Fair has given us an opportunity to get feedback from our retail partners, not just about how well they are performing in store, but also the way children have been engaging with the characters and feeding them their worries.

"We're confident that Sorgenfresser will enjoy the level of success they are enjoying in Germany, where they are the number one selling licensed plush."

Second place was awarded to Paw Patrol from Spin Master, while third was Nano Quad from Revell.

"We'd like to say a big thank you to all of the journalists who attended Toy Fair and who took the time to vote in the Editors' Choice awards - it's always interesting to see what product launches catch the eye of the media who attend the fair," said Majen Immink, senior communications manager for the BTHA.
