The Gadget Show Live has chosen its top five products from this week's Toy Fair, with Vivid Imagination's new signing - My Friend Cayla - coming out on top.

The doll - revealed for the first time at Olympia - uses Bluetooth and speech-to-text technology to connect to the internet and answer her owner's questions.

Katie Tozer from Gadget Show Live commented: "I felt really jealous that toys like this weren't around when I was a child. My ten year old self would have loved Cayla. I also think she's amazing value for money given how much technology she incorporates."

Second place went to Re:creation and its Crazy Cart, followed by the Lexibook range, Chill Factor from Character Options and Cupets from Flair.

Tozer also commended five additional products as ones to watch. These were Animin, the Go Glow range from Worlds Apart, VTech's Smartwatch, K'Nex and Revell's Texter remote control helicopter.
