The 2013 Australian Toy of the Year, Glitzi Globes, will launch in the UK this summer.

Created by Australian toy giant Moose Enterprises, the product will arrive in the UK courtesy of Flair.

It will also launch in the US this autumn.

Glitzi Globes lets girls create their own miniature, collectable snowglobes. It comprises an "innovative mix of cute collectable characters, creative play and delightful DIY glitter globes with a trendy twist".

A key product in the line will be the Glitzi Globes Showcase. "This set has over 40 components and everything needed to create and display the sparkly mini plus one mega dome with spinning carousel," read a statement.

Kirsty Mackenzie, Flair’s creative play and pre-school brand manager, commented: “We are delighted to hear that Glitzi Globes has done so well at the Australian Toy Fair. The brand combines creative play with collecting and all things sparkly which girls will love.

“The marketing campaign surrounding the launch of the brand will combine heavyweight TV, girls press and online activity."

Paul Solomon, co-CEO of Moose Toys, added: "The Australian Toy Association has a track record for identifying on-trend, innovative toys that go on to perform well globally.

"We’re thrilled to receive Toy of the Year for Glitzi Globes from the ATA, and because of this, anticipate that the success of the brand will continue in the US when the line launches this holiday season."

Glitzi Globes was also recognised for its excellence in creative play and innovation, having also snapped up the 2013 Craft & Activity Toy of the Year and 2013 Australian Development Product of the Year awards.
