Tomy has revealed its new Big Works range of city themed 1:16 scale toys.

The collection features three trucks under the Iveco licence: the Iveco Dump Truck, Cement Mixer and Rubbish Collection Lorry.

All three feature lights and authentic sounds and the cab for each truck includes moving mirrors, opening doors and a working steering wheel.

The Iveco Dump Truck features a rear dumper that can be tipped while the Iveco Cement Mixer boasts a rotating drum. The Iveco Rubbish Collection Lorry comes with a bin which attaches to the rear and can be flipped to empty.

The concept was created by 20 year old Nottingham Trent University product design student, Lukasz Bialkowki, winner of the 2014 Tomy Big Works design competition.

The competition saw second year students at the university tasked with creating designs that would appeal to children aged three to eight years, promoted key product features, encouraged trial, could be stacked easily and demonstrated the breath of the range.

The Big Works range will be available from August 2014.
