The game uses the same principles as the toy, launching this August, with five head strikes sealing the win.

Furthermore the app features exclusive content including Battroborg Bootcamp, Batrovoice voice changer, microsite links, a teaser trailer and purchase links.

Tomy brand manager, James Cokell, said: "Tomy has invested heavily in Battroborg, matching top end technology with a high class product every step of the way.

The app was a natural addition to this line-up, and vein free to download it will generate huge pre-sales interest for us.

"The app has been well received by our gadgeteers during the development stage, ad the website, which was only launched last month, has already had far more hits than anticipated.

"This all adds fuel for Battroborg's epic future."
