The NPD EPoS Retail Tracking Service has revealed Thomas & Friends to be the UK’s number one pre-school licence.
The industry survey measures the sale of toys and games across major retailers, demonstrating the popularity of the brand as it enters its 65th anniversary year.
Hit is planning a host of activity for Thomas in 2010. A range of toy product will be unveiled as Fisher-Price, global master toy licensee launches a new portable Take n’ Play range this spring and Mega Brands releases a line of new construction toys in autumn.
Alongside this, the new Thomas & Friends TV series, which features CGI animation for the first time, premieres on January 25th on Five and DVD 60-minute special Misty Island Rescue, hits shelves on October 11th.
