Hey you guys.

A campaign to bring a 30th anniversary LEGO The Goonies building set to toy shelves across the globe has taken another step forward.

Created by 80s film fan and LEGO Ideas user Lyonsblood, the set has secured 10,000 votes on the LEGO fan invention site.

It will now enter review stage where the set will undergo scrutiny from the LEGO team before reaching the approved stage.

Inspired by the action-adventure movie that celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, the proposed set features a cast of characters, including Sloth, Chunk, Data and Mouth and the galleon of infamous pirate, One-Eyed Willie.

‘Wow, 10,000 supporters!’ said creator Lyonsblood via his LEGO Ideas project page.

‘That’s absolutely crazy and wonderful. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou x 10,000 to every single person who voted, shared and supported. It really means a lot.’

The One-eyed Willie pirate ship is just one of three sets submitted to the platform by Lyonsblood, in a set completed by The Fratelli Jail Break and the famous Organ Scene.
