For our special May Retail Spotlight issue, The Entertainer's Stuart Grant has joined the ToyNews team as guest editor.

Following in the footsteps of other celebrity guest editors elsewhere in the media – including Bono (Vanity Fair), the Duchess of York (Radio 4’s Today Show) and more recently Russell Brand (New Statesman), Grant joined the ToyNews team early last month to help put together our special retail issue.

The issue sees Grant pen an exclusive editorial leader on why this year's brand and toy line-up is shaping up as "the strongest we have seen in the last five years".

Elsewhere, Grant - buying director at The Entertainer - fired questions at execs from LEGO, Mattel, Spin Master, Bandai, VTech, LeapFrog, Vivid and HTI in our The Entertainer Asks feature.

And he doesn't hold back, grilling the execs on everything from the future of bricks and mortar stores to 3D printing.

The ToyNews Retail Special issue mails today so expect to see the fruits of Grant's labour very, very soon.

GUEST EDITOR: The Entertainer asks...

In his role as guest editor, The Entertainer's Stuart Grant quizzes key execs from LEGO, Mattel, Spin Master, Bandai, VTech, LeapFrog, Vivid and HTI for their views on this year’s major launches, acquisitions and where they see the future of bricks and mortar stores. And he doesn’t pull any punches.
