Vivid is reporting a great reception to its Teen Beach toy range following the successful premiere of the Teen Beach Movie.

The firm reports that retailers have already been placing repeat orders within the first week of the range being on sale.

Vivid now has high hopes that Teen Beach Movie will follow in the footsteps of previous 'teen' movie success, High School Musical.

The toy range currently offers fans of the Disney brand a range of Fashion dolls based on the film's characters: Brady, Mackenzie and Lela, wearing Beach fashion (£14.99) or rock 'n' roll fashion (£17.99).

Orher products in Vivid's range include the Sing Along microphone with hit songs from the movie, and the Musical Key chains.

Mary Wood, marketing director at Vivid, said: "Teen Beach is a fun loving, feel good property which girls will love.

"Support for the license across the trade has been very good and with the TV and PR activity around the movie, we anticipate sales will continue to grow."

Girls toys buying manager at Argos, Lindsay rogers, added: "customers have responded really well to the Teen Breach products in our new autumn/winter range, and we are looking forward to seeing this continue as we move into peak trading."

The toy range will also be supported by both Disney and Vivid PR initiatives with TV advertising across terrestrial and satellite channels including the Disney Channel.
