As part of the sponsorship package, Tech Deck will enjoy significant branding at events and on all Rubicon communication materials, provide prizes and support demonstrations.

The deal will also see Spin Master award one child with a Tech Deck scholarship to enjoy a week’s skateboarding holiday at the Rubicon Skate camp in Leicester.

Tech Deck is also to jointly sponsor the SkaterGirl Pro-Comp being held at the Relentless NASS Festival in July, Europe’s biggest action sports and music festival. The firm will also sponsor other events throughout the country during 2009/10.

The Rubicon Skateboard School is the biggest and most active provider of skateboarding lessons in the country through primary and secondary schools, county council projects and special events.

The school teaches children of all ages and abilities to skateboard over 39 weeks of the year, five days of the week. The school also runs eight residential skate camps during the Easter and summer holiday periods.

Spin Master claims that Tech Deck is one of the top ten fastest growing toy properties at the moment, (NPD) and the company is looking to build on this by continuing to engage with kids and strengthen their links with the skateboarding industry.
