Spin Master looks to expand team

The UK subsidiary of the US toy company is looking for two new stars to join its team.

Spin Master has created new positions for a national account manager and a brand manager due to the company’s expansion.

Reporting to the sales director, the account manager role will involve managing and developing current accounts and seeking new opportunities.

The role also requires the candidate to work closely with the operations and marketing teams to meet sales and margin revenue targets and deliver customer service.

The ideal candidate will be flexible in attitude, a genuine team player, passionate about delivering against personal targets, with great attention to detail.

The new recruit may possess classical account management skills gained from managing high street multiples and mail order accounts, backed with strong commercial judgement, excellent planning, forecasting and communication skills and an ability to look beyond short term business challenges.

Alternatively applicants may be looking for their next challenge having proved themselves at sales representative or account executive level.

An FMCG or toy industry background is required and a strong understanding of pricing and ranging strategies is highly beneficial.

The brand manager will join Spin Master’s busy marketing team in a new position created to support its ambitious growth plans. The 2009 range contains products across the boys, girls, arts and crafts and pre-school categories.

The brand manager will assist the marketing manager in the development and execution of marketing plans to support the selling in and sell through of Spin Master brands in accordance with company objectives.

The successful candidate will have prime responsibility for a number of new and existing brands and provide support on others. The role will involve some competitor and sales analysis, all elements of the marketing mix and third party liaison with external agencies, retailers and licensors.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with energy and enthusiasm, be self motivated, a confident presenter, organised, cost conscious and quality focused with plenty of common sense.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail is essential and candidates must be computer literate.

Experience within the toy industry would be an advantage. Applicants might be an assistant brand manager with several years experience looking to step up or an existing brand manger looking for a new challenge.
