Spin Master is bolstering its Hatchimals collection, in the form of Hatchimals Colleggtibles.

The new collectables feature the same shells as their predecessors and require the nurturing touch of a child in order to hatch.

Over 70 characters will be available in season one of the toys, which all hail from Hatchtopia, while special places like Giggle Grove or Lilac Lake are home to limited edition Hatchimals Colleggtibles.

Coloured speckles on each shell indicates which of the 13 families the Hatchimal belongs to, plus when the child is ready to hatch it, they can rub the heart and watch it change from purple to pink, indicating it’s ready to hatch.

“We’ve seen a tremendous response to Hatchimals and we’re thrilled to launch the next evolution with Hatchimals Colleggtibles, and to share this new, magical world with children across the globe,” said Ben Gadbois, president and COO of Spin Master.

“With Hatchimals Colleggtibles we continue to push the boundaries of fun and have combined the surprise element of the ultimate blind bag, with the unique hatching process of Hatchimals to make a truly unforgettable experience.”

To continue the growth of the toy brand, 25 new license partners have come on board including Penguin Random House.
