Innovation First International (IFI) is backing its new toys with a massive marketing push for the second half of 2013.

The Hexbug creator has struck a deal with Turner Broadcasting, which will see products like its new underwater robotic fish toy, Aquabot, advertised on Turner’s popular children’s TV channels such as Cartoon Network.

The bug-like Hexbug Warriors and new gravity-defying Hexbug Nano V2 toys will also be promoted, as will as the Tagamoto car track range. The ads will run on weekdays at different periods (see ‘When will the ads run?’ for full details).

The three new lines (excluding Hexbug Warriors) will launch in the UK on August 1st.

“We will be running a campaign with Turner starting July 1st through to December 31st,” IFI finance manager Jessica Mercer told ToyNews.

“We will be sponsoring programmes across the relevant Turner channels, rotating the products. For each product sponsorship there will be a corresponding web drive to encourage kids to visit a microsite. There, they will be able to take part in an interactive competition for the chance to win prizes.”

Tagamoto products will be priced from £7.99 to £29.99, the Hexbug Nano V2 toys will range from £7.99 to £39.99, and the Aquabot products will be listed at £7.99 for an individual Aquabot or £12.99 with a bowl.
