Simba is a long term licensing partner for Spongebob Squarepants and its range includes bodyboards, water squirters and sprinklers, wind-up boats and fishing games.

The toy range will sell through specialists, department stores and online retailers.

The new deal is part of a wave of outdoor and summer deals inked by Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products for the southern and northern hemispheres across the animation portfolio, with the focus on young children.

Other deals recently signed include a licence for Dora the Explorer with Industrial Juguetera for a range of battery-powered outdoor rides including bikes, scooters, tricycles, cars and play tents, in Spain and Portugal.
