Simba plans new South Indian factory

Simba Dickie Group hopes to set up manufacturing unit in the growing territory by 2011.

Simba Toys' CEO for the Middle-East and India, Ben Nabert told the Press Trust of India: "We want to set up a manufacturing unit here and have identified a few locations in South India.

"We are still studying the market and plan to set up the unit by next year,"

The company which entered the Indian market in September 2009, is aiming to take an eight per cent market share over the next three years.

"India is an emerging market and we are upbeat about our growth prospects here," Nabert continued.
