Rainbow appoints global master toy partners for Regal Academy

European entertainment studio, Rainbow has named three emaster toy partners for its new kids' property, Regal Academy.

Giochi Preziosi, Guangdong Alpha Animation & Culture Co Ltd and Witty Toys have each signed on develop a range of toys inspired by the series that is now prepaing to air on Nickelodeon channels around the world from spring 2016.

An experienced name in kids' TV-related toys, Giochi Preziosi is the pan-European master toy licensee for Regal Academy and is currently developing a range of fashion dolls and accessories, play-sets and role play toys.

A range of dolls will be the first line to hit the market which will be launched onto the European market in the run-up to Christmas 2016.

Meanwhile, Guangdong Alpha Animation & Culture Co Ltd, which specialises in both toys and animation, is the master toy licensee for USA, Canada and Asia. Witty Toys, which has a strong reputation in toy production and distribution across more than 20 countries, will manage the rest of the world.

Regal Academy takes the familiar world of fairy tales and adds a delicious and charming twist. The action takes place through the eyes of Rose Cinderella, a normal girl who finds herself in the world of Fairy Tales.

Rose is enrolled at Regal Academy where her fellow students include Hawk SnowWhite, Travis Beast, Joy LeFrog, Astoria Rapunzel and LingLing Iron Fan.

Broadcast and licensing interest is already very strong in the show; further broadcast announcements are imminent and DVDs, publishing and partyware licenses have already been awarded, with many more to come.
